Bernd Brunke

Bernd Brunke (born October 24, 1970 ) is Senior Vice President at HypoVereinsbank .

Life

Bernd Brunke studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin from 1990 to 1996 , where he also graduated as a graduate engineer. During his studies, Brunke studied for a few months at the Anderson School of Management at the University of California Los Angeles and completed internships at Siemens , DeTeWe and Shipton Communication, London .

After studying electrical engineering, Bernd Brunke joined the management consultancy Roland Berger Strategy Consultants . There he became a partner in 2001 and from 2008 headed the Roland Berger Competence Center Corporate Performance and headed the Berlin office . In July 2010 Brunke was elected to the Global Executive Committee. As a member of the Global Executive Committee, he was responsible for the regions of Central Eastern Europe (including Russia , Ukraine , Poland , Austria and Romania ) and the Middle East (including Bahrain , Dubai and Qatar ). In addition to his work on the company's global management board, Bernd Brunke was a member of the management board of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants GmbH and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants Holding GmbH in Germany together with Martin C. Wittig and Ralf Kalmbach. In 2014 he left the company and switched to HypoVereinsbank in early 2015.

In addition to his work, Brunke is deputy chairman of the supervisory board of bmp AG and has been a partner of the Heidelberg non-profit company for corporate restructuring (HgGUR) since 2006. There, Bernd Brunke is a lecturer for the Master’s program Legum Magister in corporate restructuring, which the HgGUR offers together with the University of Heidelberg . He is also managing director and global co-lead financial services at the management consultancy AlixPartners.

Bernd Brunke is married, has two children and lives in Berlin.
