Bernd Donaubauer

Bernd Donaubauer (born March 25, 1940 in Würzburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the People's Chamber and the Saxon State Parliament .

Life

After attending school in Oschatz , where he graduated from high school, he completed two years of military service in the NVA . He then studied from 1960 at the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig , which he left in 1966 after completing his doctorate . From 1971 he practiced as a specialist in internal medicine and from 1982 as a sub-specialist in diabetology . Since 1982 Donaubauer was also chief physician at the clinic for internal medicine and infectious diseases in the Hubertusburg clinics. Since 1989 he has been a member of the board of the regional company for internal medicine.

Donaubauer is deputy chairman of the Kunstverein Oschatz e. V. , which was founded in 2004. and treasurer of the Federal Association of Resident Diabetologists e. V.

He is married and has two children.

The until then non-party Danube farmer joined the SPD in 1990. After being elected chairman of the district association, from March to October 1990 he belonged to the last, for the first time freely elected, People's Chamber in the GDR. After reunification, he was elected to the state parliament of Saxony in 1990 via the state list . He resigned his mandate on October 23, 1991 in connection with the review of the MPs for cooperation with the Ministry of State Security .
