Bernd Lemke

Bernd Lemke (born July 27, 1965 in Riedlingen ) is a German military historian . He works at the Center for Military History and Social Sciences of the Bundeswehr .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1984, Lemke did basic military service in the air force at the Riedlingen high school . From 1986 to 1993 he studied modern and contemporary history, medieval history and modern German literature at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen and the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (MA 1993).

Until 2000 he worked in the planning department at Spectral in Freiburg im Breisgau. In 2000/01 he worked in the business editorial department / electronic publishing department at Haufe-Verlag .

In 2001 he was at Hans-Erich Volkmann on "air raid in the UK and Germany from 1923 to 1939, civil war preparations as an expression of constitutional and socio-political foundations of democracy and dictatorship" to Dr. phil. (magna cum laude) doctorate. He then became a research assistant at the Military History Research Office (MGFA) in Potsdam. Since 2013 he has been a research associate (senior scientific adviser) in the field of operational support at the Center for Military History and Social Sciences of the Bundeswehr (ZMSBw).
