Bernd Noack
Bernd Noack (* 1958 in Braunschweig ) is a German cultural journalist and theater critic.
Life
After completing an apprenticeship as a bookseller, Noack volunteered for Nürnberger Nachrichten and then worked there for two decades as an editor in the features section. He has been a freelance writer since 2000. He writes cultural reports, features and essays etc. a. for Bayerischer Rundfunk , Neue Zürcher Zeitung, FAZ , Nürnberger Nachrichten; Theater reviews, portraits and reports for Theater heute and Spiegel online; Travel reports u. a. for Merian (Paris, Salzburg, Prague, Nuremberg).
In 2007 Noack published eleven literary explorations through the city of Fürth (about Élie Halévy , Leopold Ullstein , Max Bernstein and others) under the title With light and shadow paved . In 2008 the book Theaterskandale - From Aeschylus to Thomas Bernhard was published . Bernd Noack was a member of the jury of the Berliner Theatertreffen and the jury of the Marieluise Fleißer Prize from 2014 to 2016 . He lives in Fürth.
