The Bern Troubadours are a former group of songwriters from the Canton of Bern .
Members
The six troubadours were:
- Ruedi Krebs (* 1938)
- Mani Matter (1936–1972)
- Bernhard Stirnemann (1936–2011)
- Jacob Stickelberger (* 1940)
- Markus Traber (1946-2010)
- Fritz Widmer (1938-2010)
Under this name they have appeared with Bern German chansons since 1965 , both - not always in full - together and individually. They have also released their phonograms , partly as a group and partly as solo artists.
For a short time other songwriters were there too. For example Hugo Ramseyer , Margrit Pfister , Fred Zedi and Kerstin Heimann . On the album Alti Hüet, for example, in addition to Krebs, Stirnemann and Traber (with their evergreens ), Ruedi Stuber can be heard with four chansons. With the death of Bernhard Stirnemann in 2011, the performances as Bernese troubadours ceased.
