Bernhard Brinkmann (politician)
Bernhard Brinkmann (born May 22, 1952 in Schellerten -Dinklar) is a German politician ( SPD ).
Life and work
After graduating from secondary school , Brinkmann completed an apprenticeship as an insurance salesman from 1967 to 1970 , which he completed in 1970 with the examination for business assistant. Following a two-year service as a soldier on time in Panzergrenadierbrigade one of the Bundeswehr , he went back to the 1973 Insurance, where he was in 1986 executive director and insurance.
Bernhard Brinkmann is married. In the Bundeswehr he has reached the rank of captain of the reserve .
Political party
He has been a member of the SPD since 1973. Brinkmann is chairman of the SPD sub-district of Hildesheim .
MP
Brinkmann has been a member of the Hildesheim district council since 1986 .
He has been a member of the German Bundestag since 1998 .
Bernhard Brinkmann has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Hildesheim constituency . In the 2005 Bundestag election it achieved 51.0 % of the first votes, and 39.0% in the 2009 Bundestag election .
Brinkmann is a member of the budget committee of the German Bundestag. He is deputy chairman of the audit committee and deputy member of the defense committee and vice-president of the Society for Defense and Security Policy .
