This brought an important dowry into the marriage: the estates at Wenge , Bönninghausen , Nierhofen and the Burgmann seats at Horstmar and Nienborg . In the same year he became the real secret councilor and councilor of his uncle, Prince-Bishop Friedrich Christian von Plettenberg . In 1700 he was the Prince-Bishop's envoy to the English court. On April 21, 1700 he became a member of the Munster Knighthood and the Kleve-Märkische Knighthood. In 1702 his son Friedrich Christian von Beverförde zu Werries was born.
