Bernhard Friedrich Gustav Ponath

Bernhard Friedrich Gustav Ponath (born July 8, 1812 in Leipzig , † May 3, 1881 in Dresden ) was a judge at the Reich Higher Commercial Court .

Life

In 1838 he was admitted to the bar in Leipzig. In February 1848 he was appointed to the Appellationsrat in Leipzig. In 1858 he was transferred to Dresden as a senior appeal councilor. In 1870 he came to the Federal or Reich Higher Commercial Court. In 1872 he became Dr. iur. hc from the law faculty of the University of Leipzig. He retired in 1879.
