Bernhard Haffke

Bernhard Haffke (* 1943 in Berlin ) is a German lawyer and former professor at the University of Passau .

Life

After graduating from the Ratsgymnasium Hannover in 1962, Haffke began studying philosophy and law at the University of Göttingen . After passing the first state examination in law in 1966, he completed his second state examination in Lower Saxony. In the same year he received his doctorate in Göttingen at Claus Roxin Dr. iur. After working as a research assistant at Roxin in Göttingen and later in Munich and studying depth psychology , Haffke completed his habilitation in 1974 in Munich.

In 1975 Haffke had a teaching position at the University of Heidelberg and from 1977 at the University of Hanover . From 1983 to 1985 he held a chair at the University of Frankfurt am Main . Haffke worked as a lawyer in Wolfratshausen from 1982 to 1989. From 1989 until his release in 2008 he held the chair for criminal law, criminal procedure law, commercial criminal law and criminal law history at the University of Passau . His successor in Passau was Armin Englander . He was also head of the Institute for Conflict Research in Cologne from 1996 to 2000. Haffke has been working as a lawyer in Passau again since 2008.
