Bernhard Heck

Bernhard Heck (born April 14, 1951 in Au am Rhein ) is a German geodesist and university professor for geodesy at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Heck studied surveying in Karlsruhe , where he qualified as a graduate engineer in 1974 and a Dr.-Ing. graduated. From 1974 to 1985 he worked as a research assistant in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart , where he completed his habilitation in 1984.

After research stays at technical departments in Delft and the Ohio State University , he was appointed full professor for physical and satellite geodesy at the Geodetic Institute of the University of Karlsruhe (formerly TH) in 1991.
