Bernhard Wilhelm Müller (* 27. February 1905 in Stuttgart , † 28. March 2001 ) was a German politician of the CDU and chemistry entrepreneurs .

Life

Family and education

The Evangelical baptized Bernhard Müller, son of the director of the company Paul Lechler in Stuttgart Karl Müller (1872-1957) and his wife Hilde born Scholl (1878-1960), visited the Eberhard-Ludwigs-Gymnasium . He then completed a commercial apprenticeship in his hometown. The married Bernhard Müller, father of three daughters and four sons, was the brother of the Stuttgart church councilor Manfred Müller (1903–1987) and the influential theologian in post-war Germany Eberhard Müller (1906–1989). Müller died at the end of March 2001 at the old age of 96 in his native Stuttgart.

Professional career

After completing his professional training, Bernhard Müller was employed in his hometown of Stuttgart. In 1926 he moved to the USA , where he worked as a businessman. In 1935, Bernhard Müller returned to Stuttgart in his learned profession, in 1946 he was given the management of the Lechler group of companies in Stuttgart, and in 1976 he retired from this position due to old age. Bernhard Müller served as chairman of the Association of the Chemical Industry, Württemberg-Baden from 1946 to 1949.

Political functions

In 1945, Bernhard Müller was one of the founding members of the CDU Württemberg-Baden. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the state constituent assembly. Müller was elected to the state parliament of Württemberg-Baden in 1946, and left in 1950. In 1968 he was elected to the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg , in 1972 he resigned.
