Bernhard Minnigerode

Bernhard Minnigerode (born September 11, 1923 in Berlin , † April 21, 2009 in Essen ) was a German physician.

Life

After studying medicine and philosophy at the University of Tübingen , he worked at the University Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic in Göttingen from 1953 and completed his habilitation there in 1960. In 1966 he did a research stay at the Karolinska Institute in Solna near Stockholm and in 1967 at the University of California, Los Angeles (USA).

In 1969 he received a visiting professorship at Mahidol University in Bangkok . In 1971 he was appointed to the chair for ear, nose and throat medicine at the University of Essen , where he worked as director of the ear, nose and throat clinic until his retirement in 1988.

In the following years he increasingly occupied himself with philosophical studies.
