Bernhard Scheichelbauer

Bernhard Scheichelbauer (born January 1, 1890 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; † November 30, 1969 in Vienna, Austria ) was an Austrian Freemason and author.

Bernhard Scheichelbauer was a civil servant and was banned from working by the National Socialists in 1938 and described as "the worst opponent of National Socialism". He participated in the founding of the resistance group O5 .

After 1945 he worked in the Federal Press Service .

Scheichelbauer joined the Freemasons in Klagenfurt in 1931 . Scheichelbauer succeeded Karl Doppler from 1948 to 1960 as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Austria.
