Bernhard Slavicek

Bernhard Slavicek (* 1957 ) is a former Austrian basketball player , musician and dentist.

career

The greatest successes of the 2.04-meter-long  wing and inside player from Vienna at club level were four Austrian championship titles (1978, 1985, 1986, 1988), which he won with BK Klosterneuburg . The club temporarily sent several teams in the country's top division into the race.

Slavicek appeared in 66 games with the national team, he took part in 1977 on the side of Erich Tecka , Herbert Haselbacher and others at the European Championship in Belgium .

Professionally, the Viennese worked as a specialist in dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine and head of a center for dentistry in Vienna. As a pianist, he was one of the founders of the music group " Boring Blues Band ", to which Mike Maloy also  belonged.
