The Boring Blues Band is a six-member Austrian rhythm and blues band that formed in 1991 a. a. was founded by Bernhard Slavicek , Gert Haussner and Itze Grünzweig .

Career

Former basketball player Mike Maloy was singer alongside Itze Grünzweig until his death in 2009, after which his son Ryan followed in his footsteps. Itze Grünzweig started his "Bluespension" in 2013, but can still be seen on some songs as a "special guest" with them. In 2017, the musician and producer Leo Bei , who is particularly recognized in Austria, joined the band as bassist.

The band performs for over 20 years regularly at blues festivals on how the Summertime Blues on Schloss Gamlitz in Southern Styria and in various venues throughout Austria. The annual performance in the basketball cellar of Klosterneuburg Dukes as the opener of the Leopoldifestes in Klosterneuburg is also a fixed point .

In addition, in 2005 and 2006 they played at the Wiener Eistraum on Vienna City Hall Square and in 2007 in the Wiener Stadthalle as part of an ATP tennis tournament .
