Bernhard Strauss (born May 28, 1975 in Salzburg , Austria ) is a former Austrian beach volleyball player.
Career
Strauss played on the FIVB World Tour in 2000 and 2001 alongside Austria's beach volleyball veteran Gernot Leitner , but was never able to occupy top places. From 2002 he formed a duo with Florian Gosch . In 2005 Gosch / Strauss became Austrian champions and took 33rd place at the World Championships in Berlin . On the FIVB World Tour, they had their best results in 2006 with two ninth places in Cape Town and Espinho . In 2007 Strauss competed with Sebastian Göttlinger at the World Championships in Gstaad and finished 37th. After that, he ended his career.
