Bernhard Töpper

Bernhard Töpper (born November 25, 1944 in Breslau ) is a German lawyer and television journalist .

Career

He passed his Abitur in 1965 at the Lutherschule Hannover . He studied law in Munich and Göttingen with a minor in journalism . As a student, he was a freelancer at the ZDF State Studio Lower Saxony in Hanover .

In 1974, after passing the second state examination in law, he became a freelancer for the ZDF law and justice editorial team , before becoming a permanent editor in 1976. From 1976 to 1981 he was assistant to the ZDF editor-in-chief and then editor in heute-journal . In 1982 he moved to the editorial office of tele-illustrated . In June 1984 he took over the management of the legal and justice department , which he headed until his retirement in 2009. From 1990 he moderated the series How would you decide? and from 1993 also the magazine Recht explosive . In 1998 he was admitted to the bar.
