Karl August Ferdinand Bernhard von der Schulenburg (born February 15, 1844 in Propstei Salzwedel ; † February 12, 1929 there ) was a Prussian major general and legal knight of the Order of St. John .

Life

Bernhard von der Schulenburg came from the old Mark old nobility of the von der Schulenburg . His father was the district administrator for the district of Salzwedel Wilhelm von der Schulenburg (1806-1883). During his studies in Bonn he became a member of the Corps Borussia in 1866 .

In the course of his military career in the Prussian Army , Schulenburg was from May 20, 1893 to August 17, 1897 commander of the 1st Guard Uhlan Regiment and then commander of the 18th Cavalry Brigade in Altona .

He married Mathilde Countess zu Lynar in Lübbenau in 1880 , with whom he lived in Berlin . The marriage had three children.
