The Bernhardtsbrünnchen is a fountain in Darmstadt-Ost .
History and description
The Bernhardtsbrünnchen is located in the Darmstadt Ostwald on the northwestern edge of the Scheftheim meadows . The running fountain was made in 1850. The gargoyle consists of a bronze lion head . The water basin consists of a hewn sandstone . The back wall of the fountain was made of rubble stones. The name of the spring is engraved on the stone tablet on the back wall of the fountain. The water from the well flows into the Ruthsenbach .
