Berni Kelb (born February 13, 1934 in Hamburg ; † December 5, 2011 in Walle ) was a German author.

Life

Bernhard (Berni) Kelb, born in 1934 from a communist working-class Hamburg family, was a member of the KPD in the 1950s, but later distanced himself from it.

His 1971 published operating Primer should agitation used in the workplace. It was a "guide for the revolutionary factory worker who wants to take up the fight as an individual with a view to the formation of a grassroots group". The text of the out-of-print book was made available online again in 2010 by anarchist or anarcho-syndicalist groups and used to form left company groups.

The book Organize or Organize, published in 1973 describes an anti-authoritarian and emancipatory organizational approach, against the background of Kelb's experiences in the KPD and with the then flourishing K-groups . It was reissued in September 2013 as a simple brochure.

Kelb has dedicated himself to the culture of Low German since the 1990s . He translated the plays Biedermann and the Arsonists and Rose Bernd into Low German. Kelb wrote, also under a pseudonym, political contributions for the Berlin daily newspaper , for example on the ban proceedings against the NPD and theater reviews of the Low German stage in the Waldau Theater .
