Bernulf of Utrecht
Bernulf , also Bernulphus, Bernold, Benno († July 19, 1054 ) was Bishop of Utrecht from 1027 to 1054 . He is venerated as a saint.
Life
Bernulf was in the favor of Heinrich II. And later of Heinrich III. He succeeded in further expanding the bishopric , he also asserted himself against the Dutch Count Dietrich IV . Bernulf took part in several synods, including after Wolfhere in 1027 at the synod of Frankfurt .
