Bert Flemming

Bert Flemming (born March 18, 1944 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg ) is a German physician and pathophysiologist . From 1990 to 1999 and from 2001 to 2006 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives ( SPD ).

biography

After graduating from high school, Flemming completed an apprenticeship as an optician from 1962 to 1964 . After a year of practical experience, he went on to study human medicine , which he completed in 1972 with a doctorate from Humboldt University . He then worked at the Berlin Charité , since 1990 as a senior physician .

Flemming is married and has three children.

politics

Flemming joined the SPD in 1990 after the political change in the GDR . From 1990 to 1999 and again from 2001 to 2006 he was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives.
