Berthold Bormann

Berthold Bormann (born November 25, 1904 , † August 1943 in Hamburg ) was a German resistance fighter against National Socialism and victims of National Socialism .

Life

After attending primary school, Bormann learned the profession of driver . He belonged to the resistance group " Bästlein-Jacob Abshagen ," referring to the beginning of the Second World War had made in Hamburg and political awareness about the war of extermination of the Wehrmacht operational and foreign forced laborers supported. When the group was exposed through treason , Bormann was also arrested by the Gestapo . From the end of July to the beginning of August 1943, the Hamburg pre- trial detention center was also destroyed in the bombardment of the city , so that several hundred prisoners were given temporary leave with the condition that they report back. Instead, Berthold Bormann committed suicide in August 1943 .
