Berthold Furtmeyr was a 15th century miniature painter . He can be verified as a citizen of Regensburg between 1470 and 1501 .

In 1470 his name can be found in the inscription of an Old Testament , the two volumes were written by G. Rorer in 1468 and provided with miniatures between 1470 and 1472. Furtmeyr contributed not only numerous small body color pictures, but also various initials and the tendrils. He was also responsible for the painting of the so-called five-volume Salzburg Missal, which is considered Furtmeyr's main work. The work was carried out between 1478 and 1489 and is now in the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek in Munich.
