Berthold Gerber

Berthold Gerber (born April 15,  1937 - † July 24, 2018 ) was a German table tennis official .

Life

Gerber was in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) from 1967 to 1990 in Karl-Marx-Stadt chairman of the district committee table tennis. In 1978 he was awarded the plaque of honor by the German Table Tennis Association of the GDR and in 1981 by the German Gymnastics and Sports Federation (DTSB) with the Friedrich Ludwig Jahn Medal . After the end of the GDR, Gerber held the office of chairman of the Saxon Table Tennis Association (STTV) from 1990 to 2013. In 2013 he was appointed honorary president of the STTV. Since 2007 he has been the holder of the Medal of Honor of the Saxon Table Tennis Association and since 2012 the gold pin of honor of the German Table Tennis Association (DTTB).
