Berthold Lange (pedagogue)

Berthold Lange (also: Bertholdus Lange and Berthold Richard Adolf Lange and Berthold Richard Adolph Lange ; * 1810 - May 17, 1844 ) was a German Catholic clergyman , editor and chaplain .

Life

Berthold Lange studied at the University of Breslau , where he obtained his licentiate in 1833 at the Catholic Theological Faculty .

On his untimely death he worked as a curate at the Wroclaw Church of St. Dorothea .

He founded the educational magazine The Catholic Youth Educator , which was then published from 1839 to 1848 by the Wroclaw bookseller and publisher Josef Max . Lange was the paper's main editor until his death.

After a funeral procession, Berthold Lange was buried on May 20, 1844 with great sympathy from the population.
