The Beru volcanic field with basaltic lava flows is located in the Great African Rift Valley in Ethiopia between the volcanoes Fentale (approx. 20 km away) and Kone (approx. 18 km away) at an altitude of approx. 1100 m above sea level, approx. 100 to 110 km east of Addis Ababa .
There are no reliable scientific data on the time of the last eruption.
