Besart Aliu (born August 27, 1992 ) is a German - Kosovar soccer player who has been active in Luxembourg since 2018 .

Career

He grew up in Germany and played for Eintracht Trier and MSV Duisburg in his youth . The 1.89 m tall center forward moved to RFC Union Luxemburg in the first-class BGL Ligue in 2013 . After returning to Trier in the meantime, he played again in Luxembourg for US Bad Mondorf and CS Grevenmacher in the first and second division in the following years . In the summer of 2017, the German top division club FSV Salmrohr signed him , but Aliu left the club in November of the same year. He then took a break until the summer of 2018 and joined the Luxembourg fourth division club Avenir Beggen . With 17 goals in 19 games, he played a decisive role in the immediate promotion back to the third-class 1st division . Nevertheless, he was loaned to Jeunesse Useldingen for one season in the summer of 2019 . Here, too, he rose again to the 1st division , but the striker moved on to the second division US Rümelingen at the end of the season .
