The US Bad Mondorf (officially Union Sportive Mondorf-les-Bains ) is a Luxembourg football club from Bad Mondorf . The club plays its home games in the Stade John Grün, which has a capacity of 3,500 .
history
The association was founded in 1915. During the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II , it was renamed Spielvereinigung Mondorf in 1940 . In 1944 it was renamed back to the founding name.
Between 1966 and 1970 the club played in the national division . In the 1967/68 season Bad Mondorf achieved the greatest success in the Coupe de Luxembourg by reaching the semi-finals .
After relegations to fourth division in the meantime, US Bad Mondorf managed to return to the top Luxembourg division in 2014 with a 5-4 win on penalties in the barrage game against the 12th of the national division, FC RM Hamm Benfica . In the 2015/16 season, the club reached the final of the Coupe de Luxembourg for the first time , which they lost 0-1 against national champion F91 Dudelange .
