The Besson Spur is a cliff-like rock spur in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located between the Papitashvili Valley and the Hernandez Valley in the Apocalypse Peaks .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2005 by the US physicist David Z. Besson (born 1957) from the University of Kansas , the Antarctic under the program for the study of elementary radiation ( AMANDA , A ntarctic M uon A nd N eutrino D etector A rray) between 1997 and 2004 at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole station was active.
