Besteiros is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the Portuguese district of Paredes . The community had 1,443 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the parishes of Besteiros, Gondalães , Bitarães , Mouriz , Castelões de Cepeda , Vila Cova de Carros and Madalena merged to form the new parish of Paredes .
