Beth Rogan

Beth Rogan (* 19th July 1931 in Walmer , Kent , England as Jennifer Puckle ; † 25. November 2015 in England) was a British actress .

Life

Rogan studied art at the Wimbledon School of Art and married one of their teachers. However, the marriage was short-lived. After initially working as a photo model for a few years , she was discovered for the film by an employee of the Rank Organization in the mid-1950s . She attended their acting school called Company of Youth , in which Joan Collins and Diana Dors were trained. There she took the stage name Beth Rogan at the suggestion of Dirk Bogarde and got her first small roles in British films. In the next few years she was also occasionally seen in television series and commercials . She played her best-known role in 1961 alongside Herbert Lom in Jules Verne - the literary film adaptation of The Mysterious Island . The following year she married Anthony Gerald Samuel, a millionaire and nephew of Marcus Samuel , the founder of Shell . She retired from the film business and led a jet set life. The marriage lasted only a few years, after which she made one last film appearance in 1968; in Richard Donner's salt and pepper she was in a small role alongside Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis, Jr. to see. In 1971 she married a third time. From this marriage they had two children, a son and a daughter. However, this marriage only lasted a few years and was divorced in 1976.
