Betty Bösl , née Reil (* 1926 in Hirschau ), is the founder and longstanding honorary director of the social station in Hirschau, holder of the Federal Cross of Merit and honorary citizen of the city of Hirschau.

Life

After graduating from school, Bösl attended commercial vocational school and supported her father Georg Reil, a carpenter, in the timber construction company founded in 1945.

She married Willi Bösl on January 13, 1947 , and two daughters were the result of this marriage. Theresia, one of the two daughters, is married to Werner Schulz , a local politician and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon from Hirschau.

Act

After several years on the board of directors of the Catholic women's association in Hirschau, Bösl took over the office of 1st chairwoman in 1978. In 1986 she handed over the office to Rosa Stoll, at the same time Bösl was appointed honorary chairman. Numerous charitable causes were supported under Bösl's leadership. In addition, on her initiative, a cookbook with the title Hirschauer Schmankerl was created in May 1984 .

In 1977, on the initiative of the pastor Edwin Völkl, a "center for outpatient care services" arose from a home nursing course that had been organized by the Katholischen Frauenbund Hirschau. This had set itself the task of helping old, sick and needy people. At that time, Betty Bösl was appointed director.

In 1980 the center for outpatient care services was renamed “ Caritas Social Welfare Station”. Under Betty Bösl's leadership, the social station grew enormously. Shortly before her 80th birthday, on January 1, 2006, Betty Bösl handed over the management of the social station, which at that time had 50 cars, 30 garages and a building, to deacon Richard Sellmeyer, debt-free.
