Werner Schulz (Hirschau)

Werner Schulz (* August 1949 ) is a German teacher and former local politician ( CSU ). He was a member of the city council of Hirschau in the Upper Palatinate , a member of the district council of the Amberg-Sulzbach district and has been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .

Life and work

Schulz grew up in Hirschau. He attended the Gregor-Mendel-Gymnasium in Amberg .

Schulz is married to Theresia Schulz, daughter of Betty Bösl and Hirschau's former mayor Willi Bösl . From this marriage three now grown daughters were born.

He was principal at the elementary school in Freudenberg .

politics

In 1972 he joined the CSU. From 1979 to 1993 Schulz was chairman of the CSU local branch in Hirschau and later also CSU district chairman.

From 1984 until he left the city council, Schulz was spokesman for the CSU parliamentary group in the Hirschau city council. He was a member of the district council in the Amberg-Sulzbach district from 1996 to 2002, at times he was deputy district administrator.

Act

In his youth, Schulz was already in charge of the youth soccer department of TuS Hirschau in the 1960s.

In November 1984 Schulz founded the support group for the elderly, which has already collected several 100,000 euros in donations for old people's and nursing homes, social stations and senior citizens' clubs in the Hirschau parish. Schulz heads the sponsorship group to this day. Until 1992 he was a lay judge at the Amberg district court . He is a member of the parish council, is a lecturer in the parish and speaker of the Catholic Educational Institute in Regensburg.

On February 5, 2007 Schulz received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon from the hands of Emilia Müller . In her laudation, Müller paid tribute to Schulz's decades of commitment to his home in Upper Palatinate, especially in the social field.
