Betty Mü

Betty Mü (Bettina Müller, born April 18, 1973 in Munich - Schwabing ) is a German video , installation and projection artist.

Life and work

Betty Mü grew up in Munich . In 1995 she moved to New York , where she worked as an art director and took courses at New York University and the School of Visual Arts . She started to experiment with Super8 cameras and projectors and started with video and live visuals. After 6 years she returned to Munich, where she continued her experience as a live visualist and began with video installations . She developed her technical craft through many years of experience as a club visualist, in video editing and post-production .

Betty Mü discovered the video mapping technique (an artistic method of measuring every conceivable geometric shape, with millimeter precision with projectors and capturing and recording it with video) and allowed moving images to merge with surfaces and objects in her works. Betty Mü also realizes interactive installations .
