Beusdals Pannhaus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Beusdals Pannhaus , also Beusdals Hof, was an estate in the Düren district of Gürzenich .

Until 1479 the Schellard von Obbendorf were not the sole owners of Gürzenich. The von Linzenich claimed half the glory of Gürzenich. After the line of those von Linzenich died out, Dederich von Beusdal became the owner of the Linzenich estate through marriage, which has since been referred to as Beudals Pannhaus or Gut Beusdal. Pannhaus could be derived from the fact that there was a brewing pan there , i.e. a brewery .

In 1606 Johanna von Breusdal, the widow of Franz von Breusdals, is mentioned as the next owner of the Pannhaus. In 1613 Walram Schellard von Obbendorf, Herr zu Schinnen , married Maria Hoen von Cartils, who brought the Pannhaus into the marriage. In the 17th century, the descendants of Walram, namely Johann Friedrich, Adam Franz and Reiner Theobald, owned the house. At that time the Pannhaus was a pub with a bar . Later nothing more about the house is known. Maybe it was the same as the two-storey baroque building , the Levert was called and canceled because of dilapidation had. There is a street in the village called Im Levert . The former location of the Pannhaus is no longer known.
