Beverly Archer
Beverly Archer (born July 19, 1948 in Oak Park , Illinois ) is an American actress and screenwriter .
Life
Beverly Archer studied acting at San Francisco State University and the University of California, Santa Barbara . In 1975 she signed a contract with an agent which earned her appearance in five commercials. Just a year later she played the character of Lorraine in 13 episodes of The Nancy Walker Show . After further series appearances in We've Got Each Other , Spencer and Mama's Family , she played minor supporting roles in films such as The Couch Trip , The Brady Family and Alf - The Film .
In Germany she is best known as Miss Hardaway in A Terribly Nice Family . There she played a librarian in two episodes who is secretly in love with Bud and reports him for sexual harassment. She played Gunnery Sgt. Alva Bricker in 70 episodes in the sitcom Major Dad from 1990 to 1993.
Beverly Archer also wrote five scripts for series episodes. She wrote three scripts for ALF and one each for Working Girl and Mama's Family .
She has been married to Robert Bernard since 1975.
