De Beverwaard is a district in Rotterdam that lies on the southern edge of the Rotterdam. The quarter had 11,965 inhabitants in 2017, many of whom were of foreign origin. The district was built in the sober style in the early 1970s according to the urban planning of the architects Mol & Reijenga en Drenth & Tetteroo. A total of 4817 apartments were built here. 60% of all buildings are social housing .
