Bhalwal ( Urdu بهلوال) is a city in Pakistan in the Punjab Province , which is about 30 kilometers northeast of Sargodha . According to the 2017 census, 100,135 people live in the city.

The city is the administrative seat of the eponymous Tehsil (administrative unit), which is predominantly agricultural and is best known for its orange plantations. The Jhelum flows through the Tehsil north of the city and the M-2 Motorway , which connects Lahore with Islamabad , also runs not far from it.
