Bianka Panova ( Bulgarian Бианка Панова ; English transcription Bianka Panova ; born May 27, 1970 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian rhythmic gymnast and multiple world and European champion.

Athletic career

Bianka Panowa was part of the “golden girls” generation that dominated the sport in the 1980s. She began her sporting career in 1977 in the ZSKA sports club with the trainer Despa Kateliewa. In 1982 she became part of the Bulgarian national rhythmic gymnastics team. At the age of 15, at the 1985 World Championships , Panowa won her first gold medal with the ribbon. Bianka Panowa is listed in the Guinness Book of Records because she got the most high scores (four) at the World Championships.

Coaching career

In 1990 Bianka Panowa started her career as a trainer in Italy . She coached the Italian national champion Katia Pietrosanti, who was the 1993 junior silver medalist with clubs. From 1993 to 2001 she worked as a trainer in Belgium , where she became a member of rhythmic gymnastics. Under her leadership Elke De Backer became Belgium's champion. In 2015 she founded the "Bianka Panova Sport and Art Academy" together with Daniela Michaely in Singapore to continue working as a trainer.

Private

Bianka Panowa married the physiotherapist and doctor, Chavdar Ninov, who later developed an alternative medical treatment method (MyoPuncture ™) and has several prominent patients worldwide, such as B. Panova and her husband left Bulgaria in 1990 and they traveled through several countries.
