The patronage of the parish church St. Stephanus in Ringgenweiler also passed from Petershausen to the Weingarten monastery in 1621.

The oldest part of the rectory / church ensemble is the uniform late Gothic tower with a gable roof. The pointed arched choir and front nave windows are also late Gothic. The annex around an axis to the west with its arched windows and the hipped roof is baroque .

The interior is still a simple, late Gothic wall tabernacle with fish bubble pattern, some beautiful sculptures from the 15th and 16th century and the rococo - high altar with the miraculous image . With the monochrome background, the golden nimbs, the cloak headscarf, the almost strict drapery folds, this has iconic character. This type of representation and the baby Jesus, which points to the golden star on the blue robe of Mary, identifies it as a copy of Mary of the Snow - the miraculous image of Santa Maria Maggiore .

The bells, one from 1713 with the holy blood relic , the other from 1764 with the coat of arms of abbot Dominikus Schnitzer, are an indication of the close connection to Weingarten monastery.

A late Gothic statue of the Madonna and Child around 1500 comes from Ringgenweiler and is on display today in the Württemberg State Museum in Stuttgart (Inv. 11370).
