Biesendorf is the northernmost district of Engen in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg in Germany .

history

Biesendorf was built in the late expansion period after 750 and was first mentioned in a document in 1324. In the 18th century the search for floor ore was of particular importance. In 1806 Biesendorf came together with the Fürstenberg rule of Hewen to the Baden office of Engen, after its dissolution in 1936 to the district of Donaueschingen and in 1939 to the district of Constance.

On December 1, 1971, Biesendorf was incorporated into Engen.

Location and transport links

Biesendorf is located northeast of the core town of Engen on the county road 6128. The federal road 491 runs to the east and the federal highway 81 to the southwest . The Burgstaller Bach flows to the west and the Biesendorfer Bach to the east. To the north is the 862 meter high Witthoh .

The hamlet of Talmühle is located at the confluence of the Kriegertal and Talmühletal , one of two Engener stops on the Black Forest Railway .
