The Big River is an approximately 210 km long left tributary of the Middle Fork Kuskokwim River in the southwestern interior of Alaska .
The river rises from a glacier east of Mount Hesperus in the Revelation Mountains on the western side of the Alaska range between Lake Clark and Denali National Park . It flows north-northwest to the confluence with the Middle Fork of the Kuskokwim River 39 km east of McGrath .
The name is a translation of "Kwikpak", the aboriginal name for the river.
North Fork Big River
The North Fork Big River is a 37 km long right tributary of the Big River in the north of the Revelation Mountains.
