The Mount Hesperus (alternative name: North Buttress ) is with a height of 2996 m the highest mountain in the Revelation Mountains in the west of the Alaska range in Alaska (USA). Two flanks of the mountain overcome an altitude difference of over 2000 m over a distance of about 3 km.
Mount Hesperus is located north of the Revelation Mountains between two arms of the Big River . To the southwest of the summit is the Revelation Glacier . The dominant reference is the Lucas Marten Peak , 93 km away , a northern sub-peak of Mount Gerdine , in the Tordrillo Mountains .
The mountain name obviously refers to Hesperos , a titan in Greek mythology.
