history

The magazine was founded in the mid-1970s by Beat Curti , who was then head of the Jean Frey publishing house. Part of his concept was to write not only about economic events, but also about the actors in the Swiss economy. In the cover stories about the “man of the month” individual business captains were portrayed with pleasure, while in other stories the executive floors of the Swiss economy were critically examined.

Every year in January, the Bilanz publishes an article on the 300 richest Swiss people , which contains a wealth ranking list of people or families residing in Switzerland. This list also appears in the French-speaking Swiss magazine Bilan .

At the beginning of 2005, the magazine changed its frequency of publication from monthly to fortnightly.

Since May 2014 there has been a German offshoot of the magazine, which is enclosed with the Springer newspapers Die Welt and Die Welt Kompakt on the first Friday of each month .

Bilan

In French-speaking Switzerland , the magazine is published Bilan . The magazine was founded in 1989, initially with a license from the Jean Frey Group, by Max Mabillard under the leadership of the Lausanne publishing house Edipresse , which had held all the capital shares since 1993. In the first few years, the content of the magazine consisted largely of takeovers from the German-speaking Swiss counterpart, until the economic success allowed the expansion of its own editorial team. Since the end of 2010 she has been working with the business magazine Finanz und Wirtschaft . At the end of 2011, the Tamedia Group took over the magazine from Edipresse.

In 2005, Bilan also switched its publication frequency from monthly to fortnightly. The magazine has a circulation of 9,245 (previous year 10,404) sold or 9,283 (previous year 11,441) copies and a reach of 57,000 (previous year 59,000) readers. Myret Zaki has been the editor-in-chief since November 1, 2014.
