Binqiao ( Chinese  彬 桥乡 , Pinyin Bīnqiáo xiāng ) is a municipality in the southwest of the People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of Longzhou County , which in turn is subordinate to the prefecture -level city of Chongzuo in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region . Binqiao Municipality administers an area of ​​121 square kilometers with a total population of 18,340 people in 2015. The 2000 population census showed a total population of 18,338 people in 4,850 households, of which 9,485 men and 8,853 women.

Shortly after the Xinhai Revolution, what is now Binqiao was divided between the two communities of Longmen and Ping'er. In 1950 the Qingshan District was established, and in 1957 the Binqiao Township. In September 1958, the People's Commune was given a "five star" rating. As early as 1959, the region was reorganized into the Ping'er and Binqiao People's Communes, and in 1960 into the Binqiao People's Commune. From 1962 to 1965, the two communes were administered by the Xiadong Area, and in 1965 the Binqiao People's Commune was restored. In 1984, the Binqiao Community was reestablished.

As of 2018, Binqiao is divided into 20 villages at village level : Hongling (红 岭村), Qingming (清明 村), Bamiao (岜 苗 村), Niandu (念 读 村), Binqiao (彬 桥村), Dongdan (垌 旦 村) , Binying (彬 迎 村), Qingshan (青山 村), Fengcun (俸 村村), Raoxiu (绕 秀 村), Anzhen (安 镇村), Anmin (安民 村), test area of ​​the Sub-Tropical Agriculture Research Center (广西 亚热带作物 研究所 实验 站 社区). These include 81 village settlements and 124 work brigades.

Binqiao is located in the southwest of Longzhou County and borders in the east on the large communities Longzhou and Shangjiang , in the south on Shangjiang, in the north on Xiadong and in the west 18 kilometers from Vietnam .

The relief is mountainous to hilly and slopes from west to east. The most important mountain in Binqiao is the Daqing Shan , the most important river is the Ping'er He . Xiadong has 18.3 square kilometers of arable land and a mild subtropical climate with sufficient rainfall and hours of sunshine with an average annual temperature of around 21 ° C. Mainly sugar cane , wet rice , corn , fruit and mushrooms are grown. The main industrial companies in Binqiao are active in the food industry. Due to its location on the regional road Xiadong- Tuoben and some smaller roads as well as its educational and medical infrastructure, Xiadong is of regional importance. There are some monuments that commemorate the fighting in the war against Japan .
