Chongzuo (in Zhuang Cungzcoj Si ; Chinese  崇左 市  /  崇左 市 , Pinyin Chóngzuǒ Shì ) is a city in the southwest of the Guangxi Autonomous Region of the Zhuang people in the People's Republic of China . The Zhirendong fossil site is located in its administrative area .

The district-free city of Chongzuo consists of a municipality, a district-free city and five counties. These are:

  • Jiangzhou District - 江州区Jiāngzhōu Qū ;
  • Pingxiang City - 凭祥 市Píngxiáng Shì ;
  • Circle Ningming -宁明县Ningming Xiàn ;
  • Fusui County - 扶绥县Fúsuí Xiàn ;
  • Circle Longzhou -龙州县Longzhou Xiàn ;
  • Daxin County - 大新 县Dàxīn Xiàn ;
  • Tiandeng County - 天等县Tiānděng Xiàn .

Infrastructure

Chongzuo is located on the Nanning – Youyiguan highway about 100 km west of the capital Guangxi Nanning and about 100 km east of the border with Vietnam .

education

The place is home to the Guangxi Nationality Education College .

Culture and tourism

From historical, tourist great importance are Huashan Felsbilder ( Huashan yanhua花山岩画) from the Warring States Period to Eastern Han Dynasty which lie on the rivers and minjiang Zujiang close to the locality Ningming. The rock art has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-165) since 1988 and was recognized as a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2016 .
