Binsfeld ( Luxembourgish Bënzelt ) is a district of the Luxembourgish municipality Weiswampach .

history

At the beginning of the 1970s, a Roman cremation cemetery was discovered in Binsfeld , which suggests a very early settlement.

church

There has been a chapel in Binsfeld since the 15th century . As the population increased, planning for a church began in 1892 . It was built in neo-Gothic style and consecrated to the Holy Trinity on May 20, 1894 . The first patron is St. Anthony , the second is St. Hubert .

Binsfeld is a rural place. In addition to a few smaller commercial enterprises there is a cooperative , similar to the Raiffeisen banks in Germany, and a large construction company .

Binsfeld is located in the Luxembourg Ardennes in the Ösling in the northernmost tip of the country. The place had 216 inhabitants in 2005.
