The biosynthesis ( Greek βιοσύνθεσις biosýnthesis , German 'life joining ' ) or the anabolism is in biochemistry the structure of complex organic substances ( natural substances ), such as amino acids , proteins , fats , carbohydrates , nucleic acids and hormones , on the one hand in the living organism ; on the other hand - through the corresponding isolated cell components that contain active enzymes - in cell- free systems.
