Birgit Ramsauer

Birgit Ramsauer (* 1962 in Nuremberg ) is a visual artist.

Life

Ramsauer studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg with Heinz Schillinger and Werner Knaupp .

Her work includes objects and paintings as well as installations and performances , which she documented on film and photography, which in turn creates independent works. This happens depending on the location and situation: the place where your work is created and presented are usually identical. In some work series she illuminates a concept from different perspectives or develops new concepts in critical examination of previous ones. She is the founder of the Munich International Art Film Festival. She lives temporarily in Berlin, New York or Nuremberg.
